Blitz Shield - ブリッツシールド (burittsu shīrudo)

A parry mechanic in Guilty Gear Xrd. Pressing Heavy Slash and another button (like Slash) will put up a blue shield in front of you, and you will parry strikes for a brief window. Trying to Blitz Shield costs 25% Tension and if it works, you'll put your opponent in a huge reel animation, wide open for punishment. But be careful, your opponent can input a Blitz Shield back at you from this stunned state, so you might want to vary the timing of your punish a little bit if you can. There is also a safer version of this, called Blitz Attack.
